The Chinchilla Network - NZ

I have a small breeding herd of 3-4 chins and aim to keep numbers low to keep room available for any rescues needing rehoming. I aim to breed quality large-size chins and to improve the gene pool in NZ by monitoring registered chins and their offspring. My animals are vet checked and non breeding males are neutered to prevent accidents I believe the gene pool in NZ requires such monitoring as there have been no new genes imported for many decades. I am investigating importing from the UK currently.
